Webb8 juni 2016 · Go into your BIOS, click on the OC button, and within that menu set, go to CPU features, then change "Intel Adaptive Thermal Monitor" to disabled. Save, and reboot into Windows and see if the problem is solved. Here's the screenshot of my BIOS setting. Usually I do not mess with OC because the PC store guy said that it will void warrenty. After couple of frustrating days I noticed that there was an onboard "slow mode" switch on. I turned it off, booted the system, and the issue was gone. That slow mode limited the multiplier of the cpu to 8x. Now its 44 and running at 44 x base clock freq. 4.4 Ghz.

WebbLong story short my cpu is stuck at 1.38ghz and after a few hours of trying to figure this out I found out about this slow mode switch. Flicking the switch either way does nothing however I realized when I apply just a slight amount of upward pressure to the switch the cpu speed pops right up the 3.5ghz.... clearly the switch is faulty I guess. proxy browsing onlineWebb15 juni 2024 · The SLOW_MODE switch is in the slow mode position. You can try moving that switch a bit and see if that helps, but most likely it won't much. The other option is to go into the BIOS and go to the OC section, then under CPU Features, find the Intel Adaptive Thermal Monitor and disable it.
